Goals
The Conservation Department wears many hats at the Department of Water and Power (DWP). Our number one priority is to encourage conservation so that the Big Bear Valley will continue to have water far into the future. For the same reason we aim to prevent water waste. We work to achieve these goals through through education, outreach, regulation and when necessary, enforcement.

Community Involvement
We are happy to make presentations at schools, clubs or businesses. We reach out to our customers through public events as well as indoor and outdoor water audits. We provide free resources, guides and tools whenever possible. And last but not least, we reward good behavior through rebates.
