ORNAMENTAL GRASSES

Ornamental grasses add texture, style, and year-round beauty to a landscape. They range in height from 1' - 8' and a number of them hold their form, even in heavy snow. Fortunately, many grasses are both cold and drought tolerant. The following is a list of grasses that should do well in the Big Bear Valley. As usual, make sure you do a little research by discussing ornamental grasses with a local nurseryperson or landscaper. Other sources of information can be found on the internet or at the library.
