NARCISSUS - DAFFODILS

Daffodils are bulb plants that have their center of natural distribution in the Mediterranean Region. They emerge each spring, produce their beautiful yellow or white flowers, then their flowers and leaves wither as they enter dormancy by mid-summer. Most daffodils require a dry rest period during late summer. Thus, make sure the bulbs are planted in areas that do not receive summer irrigation. Daffodils have been in cultivation for centuries and many hybrids exist and new ones are being developed regularly. The following is a list of cold-tolerant daffodils.
