General Characteristics: A narrow-leaved herbaceous perennial. The green leaves emerge each spring and die back each fall. |
Flowers & Fruits: Flowers in mid-summer. Typically, doesn't fruit. Height: Vegetation: 1-2 feet, flowers: 1-3 feet. Width: 1-3 feet. Horticultural Notes: Available commercially with many cultivars. Once established, irrigate once per month. A versatile plant that tolerates many different soil and moisture conditions. Can survive in the Big Bear Valley with no irrigation. Prefers full sun, but tolerates partial shade. |
