Danny Ent joined the DWP in September of 1989 as a Utility Technician. Danny became the first in-house Backhoe operator in early 1990. In 1995 Danny was promoted to Transmission & Distribution Supervisor. Danny's Department is responsible for all pipe infrastructure in the DWP water system and is expected to provide emergency response to leaks or other problems 24 hours a day, 365 day's a year. The Transmission & Distribution Department does a wide variety of tasks from installing meter boxes to installing new water mains. Danny has a Grade 3 Certificate in water distribution & a Grade 1 Certificate in water treatment. Prior to joining the DWP Danny worked in construction installing water mains & other underground utilities throughout Big Bear Valley & the surrounding areas. Danny has over 20 years experience working with the DWP water system.
