INCENTIVE PROGRAMS FOR DWP CUSTOMERS
A water efficient community is one of the DWP's
primary goals. As a result, the DWP has implemented numerous
conservation programs that provide our customer with monetary
incentives for achieving this goal. A brief summary of these
programs follows.

| Plumbing Retrofit |
The DWP retrofits toilets, showerheads, and
faucet aerators at no cost to the customer. |
| Turf Removal |
The DWP pays $0.40 per square foot of turf
removed. The DWP has arranged for free turf disposal (for
City of Big Bear Lake homeowners only) at both clean bear
sites. |
| Plumbing Retrofit |
The DWP reimburses the homeowner up to $75
on the purchase of a low-flush toilet and provides free showerheads
and faucet aerators. |
| ET Controller |
The DWP provides discounts on ET Controllers
(irrigation system controllers that monitor evapotranspiration
and adjust sprinkler run times automatically). |
| Toilet Leak Detection |
The DWP provides dye tablets for checking toilet
leaks. |
| Free Water Audits |
The DWP conducts free water audits upon request,
for DWP customers. |
