DWP WATER USE REGULATIONS
AS OF MAY 27, 2008

Water shortage emergencies, related to drought or insufficient supply, can be declared and emergency regulations may be enacted by the Board of Commissioners as specified in California Water Code Sections 350 & 351. In June 2003, the DWP Board of Commissioners declared a water shortage emergency within the DWP service area in the Big Bear Valley. On February 27, 2007, the Board of Commissioners approved updating the guidelines associated with water shortage emergencies by adopting Resolution No. DWP 2007-02 and on May 27, 2008 Conservation Stage I regulations were declared.

The following table provides a summary of the key water-use regulations associated with each of the four Conservation Stages described in the Water Shortage Emergency section of Resolution No. DWP 2007-02.
