STRATEGY FOR SUCCESS: TURF REMOVAL!!!!
In spite of being an extremely dry year with
our last winter rain in early March, businesses and residents
in the Big Bear Valley have pooled their efforts to put forth
an outstanding water conservation effort this summer. The
DWP and CSD would like to acknowledge all of those that have
made large contributions towards the efficient use of the
Big Bear Valley's limited water resources. The following
is a partial list of contributors who removed turf during
the past couple years. Help us make this list complete by
phoning in the names of others who are leading by example.

Turf is the single biggest consumer of
water at any home or business. If you can retrofit all
or a portion of your turf with an attractive, low water-use
alternative, we encourage you to consider making a contribution
towards the community's effort to become more water efficient. KEEP
