CONSERVATION PATROL MAKING SURE WE ALL PLAY BY THE SAME RULES

As 180 of DWP customers have recently discovered, we are serious about making sure that everyone participates in this summer's water conservation measures. We have hired two water patrol people and they have been making their presence known. For the most part, violators have been cooperative and apologetic. The first infraction is a polite warning and educational contact. However, nine customers were also issued $50 fines, which accompanied their second violation notices. Keep in mind that there are two additional fines ($250 & $500) for anyone who gets a third and fourth violation notice. Here is a breakdown of this summer's water use violations, to date.
