As you may know, summer weekends are a fantastic time to visit the mountains. However, you're not the only one to think so, and our local population can increase five-fold to around 100,000 people on the holidays. More visitors, warmer temperatures and the resulting increase in wildfire risk all contribute to the DWP’s decision to approve No Watering Holidays. This means no outdoor watering Saturday and Sunday of all major summer holidays, starting with Memorial Day and including Independence Day and Labor Day. Many irrigation controllers come with a 48 hour rain shut off feature so think of that like your easy button. Click the rain delay on Friday night and your irrigation will resume it's regularly scheduled programming 48 hours later. This holiday weekend, give your sprinklers a break. Think it might be time to turn them off for good? Say good bye to your lawn and hello to a DWP turf buyback. Call us first for more details at (909) 866-5050.
