BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES OF A SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 26, 2007

A Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Department of Water & Power, City of Big Bear Lake, was called to order at 11:07 a.m., by Chairwoman Willey, at the DWP Board Room, 41972 Garstin Drive, Big Bear Lake, California.

Fred Miller, Vice Chairman
Bill Giamarino, Treasurer
Steve Foulkes, Board Member
Bob Tarras, Board Member

BOARD MEMBERS EXCUSED:

None

ITEM NO. 3 - Agenda Approval

Motion made by Vice Chairman Miller, seconded by Treasurer Giamarino, and carried 5-0 to Approve the Agenda as presented.

ITEM NO. 4 - Public Forum

No one from the public wished to speak

ITEM NO. 5 - Receive Presentation from Hal Furman, of the Furman Group, with an Update on Federal Appropriations

Hal Furman gave a PowerPoint presentation and updated the Board and staff on the status of the DWP’s request for federal appropriations for system repairs and upgrades.

Motion made by Board Member Foulkes, seconded by Treasurer Giamarino, and carried 5-0 to request that City Council and the all local government agencies submit letters (when appropriate) to Senators Lewis, Boxer, and Feinstein, thanking them for their continued support in obtaining the DWP’s request for federal appropriations for repairs and upgrades to the DWP’s water system.

ITEM NO. 6 - Adjourn

No further action came before the Board and Chairwoman Willey adjourned the meeting at 12:06 p.m.
